Ooredoo Oman experiences a pivotal leadership transition as Saoud Hamad Al Riyami steps in as Acting CEO, effective February 27, 2025. This follows the conclusion of Bassam Yousef Al Ibrahim's tenure. Al Riyami, previously Chief Business and Wholesale Officer, will guide the company until a permanent CEO is appointed. With over 18 years of experience, including key roles in business sales and ICT solutions, Al Riyami brings a wealth of knowledge to the position. His educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in Education from Sultan Qaboos University and an ILM Diploma in Leadership. Earlier in 2025, Ooredoo appointed Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Thani as Chairman of Ooredoo Kuwait, indicating ongoing strategic shifts within the group.
